The latest development comes from Abdourahmane Diouf. During an appearance on an RS1 broadcast hosted by Migui Marième Ndiaye, the Minister of Petroleum and Energy addressed the confidential political funds, amounting to 1.77 billion CFA francs, that Ousmane Sonko managed during his tenure at the Primature. However, Dr. Diouf’s statements went further than just acknowledging the existence of these funds.
He explicitly stated that after depleting the allocated political funds, Ousmane Sonko allegedly sought a supplementary budget.
